Racism is a Giant Industry

There is no question that the recent comments made by veteran radio talk show host Don Imus were unacceptable!
As I followed the story of Don Imus and his firing and as I heard the comments made by all sides it raised a few questions in my mind:
Spokespersons for both networks (CBS/NBC) mentioned that Don was known to have made offensive remarks on the air before in his career.
That raises the question:
In what moral mindset were the executives at that point in Imus’ career?
It seems hypocritical to react as a network to a demand not by the offended, but by self-proclaimed spokespersons . . . namely Rev. Al Sharpton and Rev. Jesse Jackson. Can we conclude that if advertisers hang in there; nobody in the audience complains, and ratings are up it is “OK”?
-Racism is an industry!
That brings me to the self-proclaimed spokesperson Rev. Al Sharpton and Rev. Jackson. In an interview by the “Today Show” host, Rev. Al Sharpton was NOT willing to forgive Don Imus. (Even though Don apologized several times and asked for forgiveness). Looking at Rev. Al Sheraton’s career as a civil rights activist, I remember the following incident:
In 1991a Hasidic Jewish driver in
It seems that this former Presidential candidate is the equal of a David Duke in his attitudes. Neither one of them seek reconciliation between races or people, but pour gasoline on hurtful moments that divide us. Individuals like Rev. Al Sharpton need these moments, because it offers them a lifestyle, and financial support as a career civil rights leader.
- Racism is an industry!
Then there are the advertisers like P&G, Staples, American Express, etc. who pulled there ads from the Don Imus Show in response to “ ? “. Well, I really do not know the answer! Because, as mentioned before, Don Imus made unwarranted remarks before and I guess it was OK then, but it is not OK now. Hypocritically their ads run on networks like BET, etc., where women are depicted in music videos with (sexual) words that I do not want to repeat on this Blog. The same advertisers sponsor shows on TV that portray adultery as a common part of our society.
- Racism is an industry!
Finally, there are those who produce music videos that have crossed far beyond the lines of decency and common respect for gender and race. Those responsible, like Russel Simmons (who I watched recently on the Oprah Show), explain the artist’s behavior with stories like: “It reflects the upbringing of the artist and the expression of needed change.”
WHAT???
Mr. Simmons [Russel], you make a living from these artists. You make a living by allowing those artists to proclaim words of degradation, sexual obscenity, violence and promote and reinforce racism.
- Racism is an industry!
I say: “STOP!”
We as Christians need to live our values! What Don Imus did was wrong, and there should be an appropriate punishment. What he said should not be forgotten, but must be forgiven. We as Christians must step in and tell Rev. Al Sharpton that he also needs to ask for forgiveness, and that he should set his path on reconciliation. The Gospels tells us of the love God has for us. The Gospel tells us that we are forgiven, once we understand what brought us to the place of needing forgiveness. The Gospel tells us that we must seek peace. Peace in our families, and our communities.
We, as humankind (not as divided races) must bring the industry of Racism down with love and compassion.

Absolutely, racism has become a huge manipulation for money. Howard Stern and Don Imus are shock jocks who make a very good living sticking their fingers into people's 'eyes'. I've never listened to either one of their "shows", nor will I ever. Therefore, nothing they spew offends me simply because I have more important things to do in my life than listen to them. However, when you believe yourself to be a victim then you cannot possibly care for anyone else because you're driven by your own agendas. Good blog. Thanks!

My daily routine for the past four years, following morning devotion was to listen to the Imus television show (in the background) while I responded to the blog and enjoyed a hearty breakfast.
Although I was traveling and did not see this particular show, as I understand it Imus was reacting to the comments initiated by his Director (and he really can be over the top). His Mayor Nagin impersonations were obscene and mean spirited, he even made jokes about Mayor Nagin's mother being dead in an attic during Hurricane Katrina.
Should Imus have used the phrase that got him into so much trouble?
Actually, he was borrowing from the black vernacular and mimicking phrases from black street patois. Imus and the director often imitate black street language on the show.
A lot of Americans, even in America's corporate board rooms have adapted and used similar street terms. In fact how often do you witness preachers telling church members to give each other high fives during morning praise and worship service? One white preacher in the Bay Area, often uses terms in his sermons like, 'that blew my mind', and he often has his members give each other high fives rather than to say Amen while he preaches.
The real issue to me, and Manfred hit on it had to do with those who did not speak out. For example, MSNBC didn't say a word at first about what happened, just as Manfred wrote. This type of bombastic styche has been used by Imus for years, he did not just start utilizing phrases like this a few weeks back. MSNBC made a lot of money off of Imus before; they shouldn't just walk away from hi for they were also beneficiaries of his over the top comments. Ironically, if Jesse and company hadn't said something, they wouldn't have said a word. So why did I continue to watch the show, you ask?
I found the show to be entertaining as well as informative most of the time, and I enjoyed the guests that Imus had, of all stripes, on his show; the informative portions of the show was more mainstreet. Was I ever offended? Yes. Having said that, in the world that we live in, we often hear utterances and expressions that we do not care for, however, I don't believe that we can go and hide under a bushel.
The fact is that I also listened to Rush Limbaugh for 4 years. Is Rush a racist? I have always been the type to want hear what others are saying, whose opinions do not neccessarily reflect my own opinion. And I have learned a lot by doing so.
Back to the civil rights leaders. Al and Jesse are simply doing what those in the Civil Rights movement and other organizations like the 3 branches of government have have always done, agitated, in hopes of gaining support in order to effect change. And obviously, it worked. Sadly, it takes agitation, it would appear, in order to get Americans worked up enough to deal with problems or to stop progress, when it effects other American citizens and their rights.
All of the strides made in America, historically, with respect to human and civil rights as it pertained to blacks and women were usually made as a result of agitation.
Certainly American leaders from George Washington down to today haven't done anything with regard to social 'injustice' towards minorities that they were not forced into doing. And that is a far cry worse than what Al and Jessee are doing or have done.
The fact is, the real reason that we have had all of the civil rights leaders (and John Brown and others) that we have had is because America's leaders, Presidents, Congresspersons, Judges, Evangelists, Preachers and all have not spoken up and fought for the rights of all of God's childrens. Were they all racists?
Billy Graham even refused to come and preach in 1963 at the Civil Rights march gathering in Washington, and to tell America that racism was wrong. I personally asked many of the Civil Rights leaders who participated in the 1963 March on Washington about his attitude. And they confirmed that he was not the only minister who refused to tell America to stop other forms of racism and bigotry. Hmm!
Few in America's leadership carry the 'civil rights baggage', that Al and Jesse have carried, and they made sure that would not carry it. Even Abraham Lincoln's original motives for freeing the slaves were not as altruistic as we were taught, in the beginning he simply wanted to save the Union.
When we consider the 'social dimensions of Christ's ministry' however, we can see that he never remained in a comfort zone, he always fought and agitated for social and religious justice, no matter what the repercussions would be to him for doing so. He was not concerned with 'civil rights baggage', he even bore and died on the cross for all mankind.
Did Al and Jessee go too far this time, particularly when they said that they wouldn't forgive Imus? Well of course they did, and it wasn't simply because of the phrase, "I won't forgive", it was because they injected themselves into the issue and made it appear that it was either or both of them who were owed an apology (that they would have to consider forgiving Imus for in the first place). Besides, the scriptures say that if you will not forgive others, neither will your heavenly Father forgive you.
The Rutgers women's basketball team were the ones, if anybody, who deserved an apology. And ironically, until all of the agitation began they were not even aware of the issue of Imus in the Morning, in the first place.
Racism has been more than a cottage industry in America or something that can be pinned on America's so-called black leaders. It has been part and parcel of the American mainstream since the beginning.
The problem with America is not Al and Jesse, they are only results of the bigger problem. Having said that, they have done more to save America and to help it to live up their creeds than many of America's high profile leaders, since its inception, have done. And they bear their crosses for what they have done, right and wrongly, as a result of trying. Like Moses Prophet and politician who killed the Egyptian, they have made some mistakes, but so have others. And others have made far more egregious mistakes. If you visit Mt. Vernon in Virginia, you will see what I mean.
One of the real problems with America is self-centerdness. It is codified into the American system, albeit we call self-centeredness something else like fortitude and industriousness. Do we really care about our brothers and sisters? Are we really our brother's keepers?
Too many Americans are focused on self-interest, and they are taught to do so and that it is okay to be self-centered. That is not what the scriptures teach us. We all should be more like what Paul wrote in Phillians 2:1-7, but particularly verse four.
Paul taught us not to look on our own things (self-interest), but on the things of others. Americans vote in and for 'self-interest'; not even the Christian ones vote for what is right, honest, of virtue and of a good report for everyone. Yes, even Christian Americans vote for self-interest!
Self-interest (satan was self-interested) is part and parcel of the real problem in America. If we don't fix the real problems, there will be new civil rights leaders to replace those that we have now when Jesse and Al are a footnote in history.
And what will they be fighting for, only time will tell! In closing we could have eliminated racism, sexism and many other ism's a long time ago. It should not take a so-called Chrisitian nation so long to reform.
Consider who has been fighting for the rights of 600,000 cities in Washington DC to have Congressional representation for 4 centuries now. It is not the mainstream portion of the government.

Instead (last paragraph: Consider who has been fighting for the rights of the 600,000 [citizens] in Washington DC to have congressional representation, for 4 [decades] now...
And although I respect differences of opinion, I couldn't go away without picking a fight.
Amaremos.com, do you recall Peter's reply in the vision that he had with all of the beasts contained in the sheet suspended from heaven, i.e., that he did not eat any unclean things. The tone of your thread sounded very elitist from my point of view, much like Peter's original response.
Thank God in his second epistle written to those who had obtained like faith, he ended by telling his audience to 'grow in grace', something that he had to learn to do himself. He recognized in Chapter one that believers were also partakers of 'the divine' nature. We are no longer simply earthly human beings with an earthly mindset. He explained in Chapter 1 that believers had to add a few things to their faith, like virtue, knowledge, temperance, patience, et al.
And with respect to victims, remember how Jesus viewed all of humankind, i.e., we were all slaves being auctioned off in the agora? He could simply have turned away from 'the victims', born and unborn, and those who were deserving and undesevering of their plight, instead he rushed in to save that which was lost. The strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, correct?
None of us were worthy of the gift that we received as a result of Christ's love!
One of the major problems that we have in in christendom is that most believers have not submitted to that spiritual dimension.
In Acts 6, the Apostles did not feel that they should leave the Gospel to go and serve tables. Ironically, Jesus, Stephen and others found time to do both.
We should allow the mind of Christ to be in us. For he realized that we were all victims, born and unborn, yet he came to save that which was lost, the born and unborn.
Again this country was built on the back of racism, and racism did not begin with the civil rights workers in America. Racism, sectarianism, political strife or favoritism have been on earth almost as long as austrolipithecines and hominids have inhabited the earth.
The Bible is replete with examples of the same, consider Miriam and Aaron, Jeremiah, the Apostle Peter and all of those in between and before.
However, today those who have fought for equal rights and social justice have been labeled as trouble-makers, and individuals who are trying to make money off of social inequities. Ah, they accused Jesus of being the devil and of having political ambitions too.

Hey, what happened? Doesn't anyone want to do battle?
I was just ruminating over the fact of all of the free capital that went into the pockets and coffers of individual Americans, American corporations and the American government, given all of the free labor that resulted from years of slavery and the disproportionate pay given to minorities and females in the public sector, private sector and the military.
Racism pays, yes, it has being paying off for over 400 years I would say. I wonder what minorities did with all of that money?

This reminds me of when the late Rev. Jerry Falwell was dispatched to then apartheid South Africa, apparently at the behest of late President Gerald Ford.
Upon Reverend Falwell's return to America, out of all that he personally witnessed in South Africa, the most pressing thing that was on his mind, was to report that in his opinion, Bishop Tutu was a phoney.
There is some symmetry between our discussion and the late Reverend's (Bob Jones type experience/assesment) in South Africa. It begs the question, who is really benefitting from the economy of separation. Jerry clearly did not hae a problem with the suffering of the masses that was directly attributable to white hatred.
Is the pot calling the kettle black? In fairness, many of our biblical icons never dealt sufficiently with their own racial issues.
The Apostle Paul, as he grew in the type of grace that Peter referred to, learned that in Christ racial distinctions are without consequences, and that no one should try to benefit from them - Peter, did not seem to understand this phenonenom himself!

Aaargh, the "S" word and the "R" card. I am frankly sick of both of them. I have known racist Blacks, Whites, Browns and Yellows and have read Red racist comments.
Slavery was a worldwide institution not an American or Southern American invention. Every culture has had slavery in it at one time or another and it still goes on today.
If slavery really ticks you off file for reparations from the African nations who sold their slaves to the Spanish who were the biggest slave traders and the lads harbored in Boston not Charleston. Try to stop it where it is still practiced but crying about it where it has ended serves no purpose but to keep hatred going.
I am of German descent and European serfs were in many ways worse off than American slaves. Ask the Scots and Irish what it was like to be ruled by England or how they were treated when they first came to America. And don't get me started baout the Jews!
I get to meet a lot of African immigrants and I ask them how they feel about their American cosins and I have yet to hear a kind word. In their minds American Blacks belong to conguered tribes and they are not respected. Mother Africa has disowned them. So leave the hyphen behind and be proud to be Black but proud to be an American period!
It is time for Whites and Blacks to read Booker T. Washington's Up From Slavery or the book Out of America and put the slavery thing behind. There are no living slaves or slave owners. The issue really died with them. If I tried to sue for reparations from Germany for how they treated my ancestors I would be ignored if not openly jeered and reviled. I submit the same would happen if African nations were approached.
Liberia was the major reparation offered by the Union government and if Lincoln would have had his way it would have been the only solution and there would be no Blacks in America. He once told a group of Blacks that they could never be equal with Whites and that Blacks and Whites could not live together. 40 acres and a mule was not an option he liked.
As to race, we all came from Adam via Noah so we are one race. (Acts 17:26) We are all cousins whether we like it or not so it is about time we get with the program. Indeed, race is an evolution word that no Christian should use. We are creations of the living God not offspring of random luck and monkeys.
Because of my color some call me a honky.
When it comes to politics I certainly ain't no donkey.
But don't ya try to tell me that I came from a monkey
Cuz I'll jump in your face and I'll get real funky!
I have preached in Black churches, an Hispanic one and where I am the Associate Pastor we have American Blacks, a Jamican and a Kenyan, Fillipinas, Mexicans, Indians (Calcutta kind), the pastor's wife has Native American in her and they let a few of us White folks hang out with them. By the way, this is a Southern church. When I spent time in the North I never saw a church like it.
So burn the "R" card and drop the slavery nonsense. Quit being the victim and be a man or women and take advantage of what you have rather than crying about what dead men did or didn't have.
I did not grow up in the best of circumstances. In fact, I lived across the creek from the only Black family in town and their son and I were friends until he was poisoned by some Black lads from another town. I could have demanded that society owed me a lot or I could use what I had to get to somewhere else and that is what I did. There are a lot of minority folks that have done the same. Many were even better at it than I was and God bless'em! Quit cryin', start tryin', stop buyin' into the victim and you owe me mentality!
America has a boatload of problems but you can't find people trying to break into any other place. Be part of the solution not part of the problem. As the song says, "If you don't love it, leave it." If you can do better somewhere else than Godspeed!
Remember that the you are promised the right to pursue happiness but not promised that if you don't find it the Fed will give it to you.

Wow, you sound really angry and mostly confused, which makes you a part of the majority. I would suggest that you seek the Lord, ask him to take away the stoney heart and to give you a heart of flesh.
Or, as I heard a man say to another man some time ago, "if I am ever in need of a heart for transplanting purposes, I will ask for yours, a heart that has never been used". Eek!

Mavmin,
I forgot to say that if Americans had been and were more honest, and if the government of the United States had ever done its job instead of capitulating to a white majority, there would never have been a need for the 'Racism Industry 'which it by and large helped to create and sustain along with the rest of America's majority citizens.
If the government and the rest of America's citizens would be more honest today, and this should make you happy, there would no longer be a need for a Rev. Sharpton, Jesse Jackson or others...like me or even Jesus Christ!
Again, please do not overlook the social dimensions of Christ's ministry for he also cared for the so-called victims, even those victims like you who do not know any better!

I am still perplexed and amazed by the number of Americans that are still around, even Christian Americans (nothing new), who are so disturbed by those American patriots who fight for social justice for men and women in America - those Americans who continue, genuinely, to be the recipients of injustice and social violence - those same Americans who are persistently denied the rights and freedoms that have granted by the American Constitution and Bill of Rights.
I wonder what some Americans believe about minority soldiers who fought in many of the major battles to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America, only to return home and be denied, outright, those rights promised by the Constitution that they fought to uphold? What would they call them I wonder? Probably victims!
Finally, I cannot understand why some Americans who claim to vociferously believe in law-and-order, are not as exercised by those Americans who have continued to violate the Constitution in denying rights and freedoms that have been guranteed by the Constitution to a segment of America's citzenry.
It is amazing to me that those openly law-breaking Americans, do not disturb their consciences at all, nor do those elected officials who are sworn to uphold the law, the same ones who have historically failed at their tasks. Perhaps like Jesus said on several occasions, they are still blinded. One gentleman told me frankly, that he was simply sick of hearing about it. Ironically, he then got on the phone and called his attorney in order to seek legal address, a common practice of his, I noted.
Should we be surprised that so many of America's militias are made up of Christians?
It kind of reminds you of the KKK, a religious paramilitary organization, that hated Jews but invoked the name of Jesus - why are Christians so confused and still full of venom, that is the real question.
If we were truly a nation of Christians that followed Jesus, racism, prejudice, bigotry and poverty would have been eliminated about 230 years ago!

Minister MB,
Jesus Christ is the true and living Word of God. How can you say that you love God but not love his Word (his Divine Son-Jesus) and also not love your brother. Anything that comes out of the mouth of man means nothing unless that man saturates his eyes, ears, heart and mind in the Word of God (((daily))). When Jesus returns He is going to play-back each and every little and big thing, every evil, good and every wonderful deed that have been done while here on earth. I truly believe that atleast 80% of all mankind is going to be very very surprised at what our Lord Jesus Christ is going to say and do when he returns (nothing is hidden from Him because He is the light of the world). Repent and turn from your evil ways before Jesus returns.

As Chris Rice said, God is not so much interested in using the church to heal the race problem. It is increasingly true that God is using race to heal the church. Here's advance notice of the October 2007 publication of the book so many have been waiting for. Building a Healthy Multi-ethnic Church by Dr. Mark DeYmaz (JosseyBass/Leadership Network), pastor of the Mosaic Church of Central Arkansas, one of the most proven multi-ethnic churches in the country, defines the theology of the emerging multi-ethnic church movement and the seven core commitments required to establish local churches on earth that reflect the kingdom of heaven, where men and women of diverse backgrounds worship God together as one. The Seal of Abraham is pleased to hear that Don Imus is about to be reinstated.
As I wrote before, I listened to Don for years, and even though I would shudder at times, when he would go off on this and other topics, I knew that the man had a heart of gold.
To be succinct folks, in the black community we grew up using the 'N' word, however, we would only get offended when someone else outside of the race used it. That's all that happened here with the 'nappy-headed ho's' comments. Imus did not invent the phrase.
More and more our cultures are beginning to meld, and frankly the melding process is going to a while - and having said that perhaps we can find better ways and terms to use in order to meld around.
My people will have to learn to do what I was once taught to do, that is to reappropriate the symbols of the oppressors. My people will also have to learn that others will pick up on terms that we create, and they are only being used by others (in most instances) as a sincere form of flattery with respect to the black culture!
I am convinced that Imus did not mean any harm, now his producer gives me some concern; I'm not sure what his motives are all about!

The Myth OF Racism
There is a lot of talk about racism and there has been for a long time. It is intermingled in every aspect of life. Some say that if you do not vote for Obama you are a racist. The race card is played in many scenarios and sometimes used for political or financial benefits. What does the Bible say about racism? Can a person be a racist and a good Christian or for that matter a Christian at all? Is racism a myth?
Gen 2:21-25
1 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed. KJV
Gen 3:20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living. KJV
Here we see the creation of the first man and woman. Eve was the mother of all living then and since there has never been the introduction of another woman into the race, that is not one of her offspring then she is still the mother of all living. She was also the first to raise a little Cain. ;-)
They were the only people of the time and it is though that their skin tone was a medium brown tone. That does not mean they were Hispanic but what it does mean is that all of us are a shade of brown. Some of us are a very light brown and some very dark but we are all Brown people. I know that kills a very good song that says “Red and Yellow, Black and White they are precious in His sight. Jesus loves the little children of the world.” However, it alleviates a world of error and makes sense in the light of Scriptural truth.
Gen 7:11-13
11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
12 And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.
13 In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark; KJV
Note that there was a large population of Adam and Eve’s descendents at this time and the world population dropped suddenly to only eight people. How many races could there be in that family? Only one but there could have been some variation of appearance. While we are here with Noah let us speak to a false theology that is still promoted today about a group of people. Are Black people the result of the curse of Ham?
Gen 9:19-27
19 These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread.
20 And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard:
21 And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent.
22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.
23 And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.
24 And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him.
25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.
26 And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
27 God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. KJV
Ham dishonored Noah but Noah did not curse him but just one of his sons, Canaan. Cush is what Ethiopia was originally called and he may well be the first Black man mentioned in Scripture for we know that Ethiopians were of a darker color than Jews and other folks in that region from Jer 13:23, “Can the Ethiopian change his skin, or the leopard his spots? then may ye also do good, that are accustomed to do evil.” KJV Egypt was the area of Mizriam. Phut was Libya but where did Canaan settle? Like his brothers, the area he settled in was called by his name and we know the land of Canaan is now Israel though Canaan also included Syria at one point. Israel was also called Palestine, which is a derivative of Philistine who would also be kin to Canaan.
As we can easily see, if the curse of Ham was on the African or Black people it would have had to be placed on Cush for sure, if not his other two brothers but not Canaan. Why Canaan? Whatever caused Ham to do what he did Noah must have seen the same characteristics in Canaan. What kind of people were the Canaanites. They were very vile. So vile that when the first archeologists found a Canaanite ruin they vomited from seeing the filth portrayed in the paintings on the wall. All sorts of sexual perversion were depicted there. With such practices being prevalent among them, it is not hard to conceive that there would be large numbers of the people infected with various STDs. Can we not understand why God did not want His people to intermarry with folks? Not only were they idolaters but also had many incurable diseases. God did not want His people to get their diseased theology, their diseases or Noah’s curse. These people were in the center of major powers that warred constantly so they did indeed become servants for most of their existence being conquered time after time either from the current powers in the North of by Egypt. To this day, the curse is still in effect.
Here is a quick story about Cush’s people, the Ethiopians. If you remember, Moses married an Ethiopian and his sister Miriam was not at all happy about it. We are not told why she was so unhappy about that. We can speculate that it might have been that the Egyptians had hired Ethiopians be slave masters thus she hated the reminder of the Hebrew slavery or just because she was not a Hebrew. It may have been her skin color or all three issues.
In any case, God struck Miriam with leprosy over it and she spent seven days outside the camp as a leper. If it was the color issue then it is obvious that God had no problem with it and clearly demonstrated it. She obviously accepted Moses’ God as her God so it was not an unequal yoke otherwise God would have disapproved of it and would have told Moses to put her away. It would appear that if there had been some Ethiopians that treated the Hebrews badly God was not holding it against this woman. Again, no matter what the issue or issues may have been Miriam had no more to say about it.
I am going to reveal something to you that you may not have known about me. Please hear it all before you get excited. I am a devout racist. I am convinced to my soul that there is only one true race and it is superior to all other beings. There is no question about it. I am honored to be a part of that race, the human race. You see race is an evolutionary term and I condemn evolution as being a lie from Hell that has done great damage to the human race by denigrating life itself to an accident and mankind mere mutations of an ape.
Darwin’s book title is usually only quoted in a shortened form, “The Origin of the Species.” The full title is “The Origin of the Species and the survival of the superior races.” It became a textbook for Hitler, Stalin and even for scientists, who were given hunting licenses to kill Australian aborigines to be studied as the possible missing link. An African pygmy was caged with a monkey in a New York zoo for many years. The list of insanities goes on and on that was given validation by that theory. The Bell Curve was based on it and a recent study by a British scientist stated that one race was intellectually inferior because his root premises were tied to his pseudo-science that is really religion or faith. Though the title says theory, its proponents tout it as a law that cannot be challenged though there is no evidence to support it. Indeed, all true science denies it.
If anyone truly wishes to decrease prejudice and hatred, they need to get this seedbed of hatred tossed out of the schools. That would truly put an end to racism since the term is an evolutionary one. This is why I suggest that racism is a myth since you only have one true race it is impossible to be a racist by the term’s definition. True, people will still hate other people for a myriad of reasons but at least we can get back to being one race as the Creator intended. We as Christians should speak to the variety of people groups there are among THE race. Yes, there are physical differences but all these differences exist within the human genetic code. When God confused the tongues at Babel, which divided the people, He may have used some of these features thus dividing the languages along the physical variation lines. Certain characteristics became prominent by personal preferences among people or by inbreeding among the various groups. In fact, we are all the results of inbreeding unless we are offspring of two or more people groups.
Acts 17:22-31
22 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.
23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.
24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.
30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. KJV
If you missed the major point of this sermon, Paul clarifies everything here by saying that all nations or people groups are of one blood. We are all related to Adam through Noah. We are all kith and kin. There is no such thing as interracial marriage in the physical sense since we are all marrying within the same race. If Martians and Betazoids existed then you might be able to have an interracial marriage provided they were genetically compatible. There are true spiritual races of men, those who are lost and are of the first Adam and those who are saved or of the second Adam, Jesus Christ. The Bible teaches that this is the only interracial marriage and it is forbidden as an unequal yoke. Two saved people can be righteously married no matter what people group.
1 John 4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? KJV
There is no better way to close this message then with this verse.
