No, I am not shocked at all at any of this for I try to be like the prophet Jeremiah for example. He too was once considered a traitor, by his own countrymen, for speaking out about the current state and true condition of his own nation. I have long since been concerned about my own country The Americal Idol (America).

I have been a long-time citizen of the self-governing and self-willed United States of America, whose polices and goals are based upon the desires of the self-willed. These policies are then codified into law, and subsequently carried out by self-willed governing bodies and agencies, e.g., The Executive, Judicial and Legislative branches of our Federal government and others, who are empowered by the self-willed citizens, who in a sense are also their accomplices.

In addition to being a US citizen, I am also a long-time resident of the San Francisco Bay area, at least that is where I consider my permanent home to be. What we are witnessing today, are merely the outcomes and results of the policies and principles that we have chosen to live under and to be governed by, i.e., the policies of self-interest and self-will. Ultimately, all of this plays right into the hands of Satan. For the objectives of self-will are based upon pride and lusts. So, as goes the people, so goes the government and vice verse. As was the case with the Israelites of the Bible, Americans have become a very rebellious and stiff-necked people. And that includes the so-called people of God!

Neither our government, our laws, nor are our people subject to the will of God. Remember the scripture, Forever O Lord are thy words settled in heaven, well that is not the case on earth or in the US of A. Instead, our government, statues and governing principles are based upon and legislated by and according to the will of the majority of the power-brokers and the voting public in America, many of whom are are corrupted. We see the latter being reported to us daily, in the news. Sadly then, we have also empowered each citizen, with our current governing principles to act out in the manner that they choose. I believe that it will only get worse unless we make a dramatic change from the top to the bottom!

Why do I have such a gloomy outlook with respect to all of this? Too many believers will also write into this blog and share their opinions, then afterwards they will pull down their own window shades and subsequently return to their own self-interests while hoping that somehow and in some manner, there will be a fortuitous outcome to all of this.

During the inaugural Martin Luther King Day Celebration in San Francisco, the majority of the groups that marched in the parade down Market Street were members of organizations like NAMBLA. San Francisco has other groups like COYOTE, which stands for, 'call off your old tired ethics'. Another group that comes to mind is the Sisters of Perpetual Motion, a gay organization that prances around in Nun attire. These folks will occasionally expose themselves and perform sexual acts before the public.

On the other hand, many citizens were shocked when the Gay community spoke out against NAMBLA. For the Gay community neither supported the beliefs of NAMBLA nor did they believe that should be permitted to march in future parades. No wonder Daniel said this about his own nation, "O Lord, to us belongeth confusion..."

As I close, I was uncharacteristically late to a weekly evening service some years ago. There before my eyes, I saw a picture that has stayed with me until this day, as I paused a few minutes before entering the door of the church. One could hear, from inside of the church, the echoes of joyous singing and worship, yet outside of the church you could see the alcoholics, junkies and others walking past the closed doors of the church. Wow, I thought, both of these groups were in their own worlds and pursuing their own self-interests. Do you get my drift?

I believe that our emotional and spiritual responses should coincide with both Jeremiah's lamentations for the nation of Israel, and Daniel's prayer in Daniel the 9th chapter for his own people Citing a portion of Daniel's prayer for his own nation, i.e., We have sinned...
done wickedly...
have rebelled...
departed from thy precepts and judgments...
have not hearkened unto thy servants the prophets...
to us belongeth confusion.

I too have known about this group for years. Their slogan used to be "Sex before 8 or it's too late." That is why so many gay rights groups are pushing for sex education that is tolerant to or in favor of homosexuality for early elementary school students. If they teach our kids that it is "OK" for that lifestyle, then they will be more open to try it. I don't care what spin NAMBLA tries to put on it, they are pedophiles preying on our children. How can an adult get a child to have sex with them without coersion. I have been in our schools and see the challenges facing our children. That is one reason my wife and I homeschool our kids. We as Christians are losing battles everyday that we do not know are even being fought. We need to wake up and take a stand.
