Benny, how long will this go on?
I understand what religious freedom is, but I also recognize what religious freedom (or should I say 'charlatanry') can be like. For the life of me I am not able to understand that Hundreds of Thousands place their belief in a ministry that time after time has made false promises & prophecies. And what is worse is that all others (like us) seem to be quite about the issue. Here is a ministry that refuses to open their financial books (the ministry received 89 Million in donations in 2003); a man that lives the lifestyle of a diplomat (Hinn's house costs $3.5 million to build, has 7 bedrooms, 8 baths, and includes 6,000 square feet, a view of the Pacific and room for five cars in its underground garage for his preferred car the BMW). He is a preacher who has NOT healed anyone yet (if I am wrong please send me evidence) and a "man of God" who gives prophecies that don't come true:
"Ladies and gentleman, Jesus is shaking the world! Now something else is happening that is to me awesome! Absolutely awesome! The Lord is physically appearing in the Muslim world. I'm telling you, Paul, I am hearing it now more and more and more. Since we preachers cannot go there, Jesus is - just going there Himself. Since we preachers are not permitted to go in, He is just showing up - Himself. You know the Scriptures says clearly that the Lord did appear, did He not? Ah for forty days, isn't that right? And the, and the, and the Scriptures says he, he, he even, he even appeared to Paul. Now we are always thinking, well Jesus can't really preach, preach the Gospel. Who told you that? He was the first one to preach the Gospel. In fact He is the one who came to Paul and said, Paul, I am Jesus. He, He didn't send no angel to do that job. He did it Himself. If Jesus revealed Himself to Paul, why not reveal Himself to a lot more than just Paul? And He is doing it! The reason the Lord had to appear to Paul is because He knew Paul wouldn't listen to nobody else. Now in the case of Cornelius, the angel said send for Peter, 'cause, because Cornelius was, was ready, his heart was right, he'd been in prayer. But here's Paul killing everybody, causing 'em to blaspheme, Jesus said this man won't even listen to an angel, so I'll go do the job myself. So He went and knocked him right off his horse and preached the Gospel to him. He's doing the same thing today in the Muslim world. He's appearing, hear this, He is appearing to Muslims, saying I am Jesus of Nazareth! And they're coming to know the Lord! Why are those things happening? It's the last days! Saints, this is why we need to give to the Gospel now more than ever. You know naively say well I gave last year. Forget it! Last year it's gone! That cycle is over with! Seed time - harvest of last year is gone. Every season is a fresh season. We are in a fresh season. What, what you gave last year will not reap you anything this year. What you gave even a few months ago is gone, you got the harvest for that."
(April 2nd, 2000 - TBN Praise-a-thon, Benny Hinn)
When will we speak up? Does the 'world' not deserve to know that we are apart from a ministry like that of Benny Hinn? Are we not afraid that we are placed in the same framework by those who are "seeking"? Or have we decided to leave those who trust Benny and allow them to be led astray with false hope?

We as ministers are his peers. If we have proof, we should confront him with it in order to help renew his relationship with Christ. He needs to be confronted and rebuked in order to bring him back to the fold. It is our responsibility. If he takes our advice, then we have regained a brother. If he refuses to change his ways of deception, we should take the next step and expose him to the congregation that is mostly in the realm of Television. Robert Tilton had this kind of loss in Texas, but never listened to his local peers and in turn lost his house and wife and ministry. Now he is doing it again out of Florida, but he is the redicule of the internet and I am sure will be exposed again. We shouldn't stick our head under a rock and let prosperity gospel preachers keep spewing this kind of garbage. If we do we become a target later when he Hinn is exposed and the skeptics turn and point the finger at us all and say we are all that way. I would never want that comparison. Every time I watch Mister Hinn, I am reminded of Steve Martin's portrayal of just such a Faith healer in Leap Of Faith, but this time I don't find it funny. Some of us want to actually be humble servants of the Lord like the Bible tells us to be!

Hinn is a minion of the devil. check out Hank Hannegraf's work exposing him. Hank did a great job confronting him on documented heretical statements, rebuking him kindly, trying to correct him, all to no avail.

Dear Sir,
I wish to give a true & proven story that involved B. Hinn. A young lady was born in 08/1970. Sadly, she inherited severe inhalent allergies from her Mother. From childhood, she was regularly under Physician care. Ultimately, it required weekly shots just so she could have somewhat a normal life. She had been raised a devout Catholic. In 1991, she attended a COGIC Bishop's Congregation. Ist time outside a Roman Church. The Lord so deeply touched her heart, that she purchased her first Bible, an NIV Translation. For two solid years, she did in depth Bible STudies using books written by the President of a "Full Gospel" Bible College, while studying under a devoted SBC Sunday School Teacher. Well, one day, in 1992, she, having read of the miracles performed by the Apostles, desperatley in need of healing herself; She began crying out to the Lord for her own miracle. One day, as she prayed, the still small voice of the Holy Spirit spoke into her heart the following; "My Daughter, one day, I will take you to St. Louis, MO. I will bring Evangelist Benny Hinn there as well. I will heal you during the Benny Hinn Crusade, I will get great glory from your healing." She was so moved, she began telephoning Rev. Hinn's Church in Orlando, Fl. Regularly, she would be told that Benny would never go to St. Louis. Though she kept her Physician's care, that was maintenance only, as she was growing ever worse in symptoms; with ultimately an incurable infection in the estuation tube of her right ear, she kept "standing in faith" that the LOrd would keep His promise to her. Well, in 1994 she attended a huge 247 combined Church 4 week Crusade in Saint Louis. THe average service attendence was over 5,200. She saw many healed, and hundreds saved. She took part in a Water BAptism Service in which 1,500 were entered into Water Baptism. She experienced a mighty move of God in her life. But, she was still suffering the incurable disease. Well, in 1995, she moved to Saint Louis, took employment and married a Minister of the Gospel with 24 years of proven ministry. Late in 1995, an Evangelist & their spouce by the name of Vivian Louise Cerrerro, whom had been Ordained by Evangelist Kathryn Kuhlman's ministry organization and sent forth with her Husband Ron, to continue the ministry after Kathryn's death in 1977; came to Saint Louis. Vivian & her Husband Ron met the young woman and her Husband and agreed to dinner at their home one Sunday. As the four visited, the Lord gave Vivian a Holy Vision! In the Vision, she saw the young woman and her Husband, standing on a huge Stage before thousands. She saw T.V. Cameras filming them. She heard the young woman's Husband declaring, "Its just God's grace," repeatedly. She then saw the couple being shown on International Television. Well, the young woman required much medical treatment. Allergists, Specialists, regular M.D.s all cared for her as best they could. But all said the same, she would suffer in her body severely all her life. Migranes, swelling of the ear canal and face and nexk, severe tiredness, spending a third of her day light hours of life bed-ridden! Well, in September 1996, Benny cancelled a Crusade in Chicago, abruptly. W/O advance notice planning, except a couple of weeks, he came to St. Louis at the SAvvis Center Arena. There, over 18,500 attended each Service. THe young woman and her HUsband went. THat Friday morning, with her prescription drugs in hand, they stood nearly three hours in the St. Louis heat of late Summer, waiting to get in. Each hour, she grew worse. Finally, they entered, finding seats in the upper "nose bleed section" of the vast arena. Her Husband, seeing an elderly woman on the mai8n floor, as thousands milled about her, seeing that she had a Crusade volunteer pin upon her chest, the Husband climbed over rails until he reached the main floor. Catching the elderly woman volunteer, he told of his Wife's suffering. She instructed him to gather his Wife and return. When he did, he, his wife, and the volunteer gathered in a circle, holding hands in prayer. NOTHING WAS HAPPENING! Then, another small female voice was heard praying behind the young woman. All at once, it was as though an electric current surged through the husband and the young woman. Where they had been chilled by the A/C, all at once their clothes were sopping wet from the heat upon them Instantly! THe small female voice began to shout! "She's been healed, she's been healed, she's been healed!" THe Husband raised his head, seeing all the swelling gone from the young woman's face. THey seated on the main floor. The CRusade began. As the Choir was singing, Benny stood from his seat with the Pastors at mounted the pulpit. He began speaking, saying; "As I was seated with the Pastors in prayer, the LOrd spoke to me! In this crowd this morning, is one person ill! You have severe allergies, and pain in your jaw! The Lord said HE is healing you right now! At that moment, the young woman began leaping about! When she finally calmed herself, the Husband asked; "Why were you leaping and screaming?" She declared, "The fire of God was upon me again! I am healed!" Well, as thousands lined to go to the stage, the young woman and her Husband - the ORdained Minister- sat. NEither desired noteriety. Well, the elderly Volunteer sought them out. tAking the young woman by the hand, she led them with their things to the rear of the stage. There, a MEdical Doctor began a repeated Ear-Eyes-Nose-Throat exam, as well as reading all of the prescription pills, nose spray and ear drops that the young woman took everey day. He declared the Latin names of heer diseases. Then, he declared; "You have been healed by the Lord!" He then took them to the stage. There, the young woman told the whole story from 1992. The Husband then listed all of the names of Doctors and Hospitals where the young woman - his Wife had been treated. Benny then touched their heads, they fell. As they klay on their backs, total joy and peace of the Lord flooded their hearts. Yet, they heard everything said. After a time of his talking to others, Benny had four men help the couple to their feet. Benny was at the other end of the stage from them. HE said, pointing at the young woman's HUsband, saying; "What do you do for a living, Sir?" the Husband, not Pastoring any longer, though Ordained, answered, "I sell fork lifts now." Benny repeated the question. At receiving the same answer, Benny shouted, "No!" "You want to be a Preacher don't you?" He did not know that Husband was a former Pastor, Assistant Pastor, and Youth Pastor covering 24 years of ministry, plus having graduated two SEminary Programs, as well as attending 3.5 additional years in Seminary, plus two in University. He had no way of knowing that many of the Pastors and Preachers on that stage, knew that Husband/Minister. Benny touched them again. THey fell backward. THis time, Benny had everone in the place stand, as he declared saying; "There is a Mighty anointing on this man for ministry, and a mighty anointing on the young woman for ministry as well!" Afterward, they filled out many forms allowing BEnny to contact the Physicians and Hospitals. In October, 1996, that Couple were shown in 78 Nations on TRinity Broadcasting NEtwork. For several years afterward, as they ministered in many different churches across multiple STates in African American & Caucasian Churches of different Denominations, many would remember seeing them on BEnny's Show in October 1996. There Ministry has been advancing now ten years! THewy have won awards for their inter-racial ministry. Their Orders of Ordination are recognized by the Vatican. They were the only Ordained Protestant MInisters allowed by ArchBishop Rigali's Office in Saint Louis to attend and take part in the CATHOLIC MEMBERS ONLY MASS with Pope John in 1999 in St. Louis. THeir Ministry has been blessed by and publically spoken about positively by men as Dr. Richard Roberts, Dr. Dick Mills, and other LEaders in five different DEnominations from around the USA & the World! Catholic Priests, African American Baptist Pastors, UCC Pastors, Methodist Ministers, A/G, & FOursquare Pastors, COGIC, & Pentecostal Churches of the WOrld Pastors and Bishops,& IPHC Pastors & Supertintendents, as well as Independent MInisters, have been ministered unto by the Couple. Even one of the Leaders of the ANcient Ethiopian Christian Church, while in SAint LOuis laid hands upon the couple in prayer of blessing of their marriage and ministry, as has men as Richard Roberts, Dick Mills, Jack Goodson, Dr. James Maloney, as well as several Roman CAtholic Priests, and an Episcopal Priest as well. (AND) her healing? Well, the HUsband took his young Wife back to her Doctors, plus an Allergist, to be re-tested! SHE WAS HEALED! SHE STILL IS HEALED! Sir, you have erred! It isn't man that does the work. It is the LOrd! It is recorded in his word, saying; "Judge not, lest ye be judged! For the measure with which ye judge, in like manner, shall ye be judged." Again, "Man looks on the outward appearances, while God looks on the heart." Again, "God takes the foolishness of man, to confound the 'wise'. Rather than attacking BEnny, take as much time as you have spent in publically attacking him, and get upon your face before the LOrd. Weep and pray that you can be used by the Lord to see miracles in your own ministry. When was rthe last time you saw the Lord heal someone of cancer, Diverticulitis, Arthritis, or other incurable diseases? You will die one day. I pray you do not die without repenting. I know what it is to die! Not once, but, twice! Let me give you a warning. When you leave your fleshy body, all of your senses will be multiplied over 5,000 times! You will remember every sin you commited in your life from diaperhood upward. I do not speak theory, or, from what someone else wrote. His Mercy has brought me, that Husband of the young Woman, back from the dead, twice! I am that Minister Husband! The young woman is my WIfe. It is written, saying; "If ye but have faith the size of a wild mustard seed, say...." It is written, saying; "By the stripes of JEsus, you are healed." It is written; "Jesus Christ, the same, yesterday, today, forever." You mocked, saying you had never heard. Well, now you have. THere is now no excuse. The LOrd can do as HE chooses, with whom ever HE wills it. I tell you of a truth. Every man will stand, giving a testimony for their life. It is also written, saying; "In the last DAys, mockers & scoffers will walk the Earth, speaking un-afraid." It is also written, saying; "In the Last Days, there will be many who 'say' they believe, but they deny the Power. From such flee." Rather than spend your time, nit-picing individuals, spend as much time as you have invested in wasted time, and seek the LOrd to make you into a vessel, capable of being used by the LOrd as HE desires, outside the "Marketed Church PLan" and in MInistry that is patterened truly after HIs - the Lord's.

I have heard him preach. Many times he takes the bible and twists it to gain glory for himself not God. He has a ministry of Money. I won't say that your wife was not healed. I just say the Lord healed her and it possibly had nothing to do with Benny Hinn. I pray that he is truly what he claims to be, for his souls sake. I would have more respect for him if he wasn't so Dollar concious. This is not jealousy speaking. It is a true concern for the WORD given us through the bible. He has been preaching his own words.

I would be much more comfortable with Mr. Hinn if he did not live in luxury. God can prosper a preacher, I have no problem with that, but a beamer and a huge house is probably a little bit far.
Theatrics for the sake of the gospel are not welcome.

Manfred, are you trying to stir up trouble (-: again? Great topic!
I am not an apologist for Benny Hinn or for any of the present-day evangelical style ministries. However, have we considered the similarities between the conditions that surround the ministries of Benny Hinn and others today, and those that surrounded the ministries of Jesus Christ during and after his public ministry?
He too was considered a charlatan, a fraud, a false prophet and an insurrectionist, just to borrow a few terms, and yet today, we follow Jesus! The orthodoxy of his time was also furious with him for pretending to heal, to forgive sins and for commanding a following. The good religious people worked to have Jesus crucified, yet sick and poor people laid at the temple for decades, and these good relgious folks did nothing for those individuals.
Do Benny and others make me nervous? I saw some of the investigative reports on television, years ago, that seemed to undermine some of Benny Hill's claims to have healed people (on the other hand, many people were actually healed). Then I think of Jesus, when people saw those that he prayed for being healed and raised from the dead, the accusers assumed that his power was derived from Satan given that they could not deny the miracles. Why? They considered themselves to be the authentic people of God and they didn't have any power, and they did not understand the power.
This was similiar to John 9, when the blind man was healed, and what he told the Pharisees; whether he is a sinner or not I don't know, but wherein I was blind now I see". They could not deny that fact.
Isn't it then ironic, and scarey, that when God sent power back to the earth on the day of Pentecost, he did not send it where the professional religious were, Priests, Levites, Clerics, et al (mostly at the Temple) he sent his Spirit to a remote location where it would be received by those who truly sought the things of God.
My brethren and sisters if there be any, whatever we do, and the scripture does allow us to approach a brother thatwe believe is overtaken in a fault; but it encourages us to do so with meekness Gal 6.1., I would encourage anyone who would approach these types of ministries and ministers to do so with love and by using a probative approach.
You should not go there with the spirit of condemnation; it appears that some minds are already made up. Remember that Paul started out the same way, Acts. 9:1. It turned out that he had to be transformed. In the end he found out that he was the one fighting against God. I do sense a bit of bias in some of the comments that I read. I believe that a person or a minstry can make a mistake, but still not BE WRONG!
Ministries are not the same, "...he gave some to be prophets", et al. In many mainstream denominations, evangelical ministries are part of the landscape; the Catholics even have charismatic Catholics.
Lets go with Gamaliels advice on a topic like this, lest we be found to be fighting against God!
Peace & Grace,

Hello all
I get very concerned when I see such posting as this. I want to warn you that how a person judges another it will be measured back to you. The other thing to warn you about is to sow discord amoung the brethern. Discord is nothing more than the devils way of dividing. It is an abomination to God. So we need to be careful how we share in these matters. When you speak on these matters in an open forum with out following Gods word you are sowing discord and bringing division amoung your brethren. Why do I say this , because my bible say that when you have ought against another you are to go to them first. I know that this is a paraphrase and I do not have time to go into all of it. You are wrong sir in airing this in an open arena. I am not writing this not to defend Benny Hinn I am writing this in that you sir have gone against God's word in how to deal with a problem in the body if there is a problem.
The next thing to enlighten you on is that in Psa 35:27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.
Psa 35:28 And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.
We can see that writer of this pslam that if we put Gods cause before ours He delights in the prosperity of His children. This prosperity is in fullness, inclusive of the material things, money, houses, ect... Who are you to determine how much one person should be blessed, have you been elected as judge of all. I would sertainly hope not, because with your mentality we would all be kept poor an broke. I would hope you would think about that God delights in the prosperity of His children when we put His rightous cause first. I think and choose to believe that Benny Hinn and others like Him are doing this. I choose to believe the best of the sistuation than the worst and keep them in prayer from falling into the devils devices as we should do. We should keep our brothers and sisters in prayer.
Sir I will be praying for you to be enlightened.
I want to leave you with this question, are you without sin? if you are then you have the right to cast the stone if not you do not.
Blessing

I broke my comments up into two parts, holding to my promise before to be brief. Here are the rest of my comments on this topic.
Christ showed us in Lk 5:17, that there is healing when, "...the Power of the Lord is present to heal". Some dispensational theologists do not believe, in most cases, that divine healing takes places today.
The question that you raised goes beyond a Benny Hinn type ministry, for people give power to ministries of all types. I attended a conference of ministers, years ago, that included many mega and media ministry pastors; you would recognize, from television, many of those who were present if I mentioned their names. All ministers were encouraged to stand up and speak in a 4-hour open forum. I raised the issue of the Spirit of Capitalism that had infiltrated our churches. I referred to it as the American Capitalist Church Syndrome.
Many ministers, at the 3-day Conference, including Bishops of many different denominations, conceded that they were entrepreneurial ministers. Many acknowledged that we have many millionaire preachers among us, and other men coming into the ministry for the express purpose of procuring wealth, influence, prestige or to have a large following.
We concluded that we would have to approach and confront ministers who provided peculiar teachings and behaviors. We also concluded that some of our money-motivated ministers who were present needed to do some introspection. One of my other pet peeves is the Mega-Ministry movement itself. I won't condemn it, I am studying it. My concern is, where will it end up? These ministries make me think of Gideon's original army of 32,000 apparent warriors. In God's eyes, he only had 300 true soldiers. I am deeply concerned!
Yet, as I mentioned before, I take the words of Gamaliel to heart, if it is of God you cannot fight against it. If it is not of God it will come to naught. But the bottom line is that you do not want to find yourself fighting against God due to a lack of understanding as Paul once did, prior to his conversion.
Having said that, bear in mind the people are hungry. Some of our dead and frozen ministries of the past and present did not and do not meet the needs of the people, and I am not sure that God can work through some of these ministires if he tried for they are too seeped, apparently, in their own traditions.
Given that people are impoverished and hungry, those of us who consider ourselves to be good ministers, must be sure that we are allowing the Spirit to work sufficiently through us in order to meet the needs of the people, and from a divine perspective. For to paraphrase Jeremiah, God will give pastors according to his heart to feed the people with knowledge and understanding.
I come from the mental health profession, someone else said it, and I concur, that the prophet Ezekiel would easily carry a clinical diagnosis today of Paranoid Schizophrenic. And what about John the Baptist living out in the wildnerness. Sometimes things seem odd to us, but those are in fact the things of God.
Peace & Grace

Matthew 7:15-23 (KJV) Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
AS USUAL GOD'S HOLY WORD SAYS IT ALL!!! LET IT STAND AS A WITNESS TO ALL WHO PROFESS THE NAME OF CHRIST JESUS!!!

You are quite correct. "Benny Hinn" doesn't heal anyone. Jesus does the healing, even at his crusades. I visited one once to check it out and volunteered to usher in the "wheelchair section" so I could see firsthand what goes on. I personally saw miracles that day, and had to escort one "healed" lady to the stage.
At the same crusade, (this was Calgary, Alberta 2004 I think) a good elderly friend of mine from our church was one of the people on stage. She had a helaing of her hip and now at our home church I see her walk up those lobby steps like she never could before.
I am not saying that this has anything at all to do with benny, but it has a lot to do with of the individual.
As for religous leaders having money. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Job were all very wealthy and the Bible says that God gave them the ability to get wealth.
There is nothing wrong with them oening property any more than there is for you.
There is a book you can read that tackles both sides of this debate really well that you can real online call Blessing for Success at www.saskatooncity.com.

I find it very interesting that all the healings are cancer, backache, allergies, etc. I'll be very impressed when he uses his faith healing to cure someone with cerabal palsy or downs syndrome. Have him try his Word of Faith on someone who has lost an arm or has been blind from birth. The only healing he has ever been part of, are the ones you can't see. Wheelchairs don't count. I could sit in a wheelchair and shout I'm healed and get up and walk. How about a mangled ear? I'd even be happy if he would arrange to have the hair grow back on a bald man!!

Well, Well, Well . . . don't we have a bunch of opinions here!
I would like to clarify a few things and answer some of the comments made . . . as well as raise some questions:
1. I do not believe that accumulating wealth is against any teachings of Christ. (However it may hinder us in creating priorities for your life).
What I oppose is to accumulate riches from those who live a desperate, hopeless life and are willing to contribute to Benny in hope that they receive a much need favor. ( . . . I remind you his re-appearing sentence: “Lay a seed and reap a mighty harvest”)
Furthermore, why does the Benny Hinn Ministry not open the financial books? Does this ministry not have the obligation to be accountable to the givers?
2. I believe that our God can heal us in many ways (physically, menthally, etc) and I also believe that our God has given that gift to some of us who are called! What I do not believe is that Benny Hinn has that very gift.
Please prove me wrong with evidence . . . not with “I was there and saw it . . .”. No investigations (like “NBC Dateline”) have ever been provided us with evidence of healing by Benny Hinn.
Now, people may say "that the media is against Benny Hinn." I am telling you that the media would have a hay-day if Benny's claims were true!. The media would benifit much more from a "healing power."
Point and Case: "The heavyweight boxer Evander Holyfield banned from boxing because of a heart condition, went to a Benny Hinn crusade in Philadelphia, had Hinn lay hands on him, and gave Hinn a check for $265,000 after he was told he was healed. In fact, he passed his next examination by the boxing commission, but later his doctors said he never had a heart condition in the first place – he had been mis-diagnosed."
>> What would be easier then to send evidence of a cancer healing? Make the record of the oncologist before and after the healing public and “we will believe”
>> Let me know that you as a paraplegic since birth were healed by Benny Hinn and make your medical records available to us.
. . . I am waiting.
If Benny Hinn is confronted with doubt of his healing power given to him by God, his famous answer is always: "The reason people lose their healing is because they begin questioning if God really did it."
(Please give me a break . . .!!!) -- these are my words
Finally:
Not only does Benny Hinn give false hope to those who seek, but he makes prophecies, that are false!
Benny, for crying out loud I have a suggestion: Stop making these statements . . . by now you would know they are NOT from our God! . . . they are simply your imagination!!

One of the writers on this Blog raised the all to famous question if we (I) live without sin and so we (I) should not throw a rock :-)
My reply: No, I am a sinner, I am saved by the Grace of God! I am not judging Benny, but I am making simple observations. Benny will be judged by God, but I do have the obligation to hold others accountable as I ask others to hold me accountable. Is that not what church is all about? A uniform body, that walks together on the journey of life until we reach eternal life?
If we allow others to take advantage of the sheep we are to tend, then we hand those sheep over from the “light” into the darkness”
Having said all this, I love you all Brothers and Sisters in Christ and may we all rejoice in learning from each others experience. In the end God knows our heart

Thank you, Manfred, for submitting examples of some of the apparent false claims made by Benny Hinn. I was not aware of any of this as I do not watch his show/service.
Information should be the basis for making decisions, and you provided some sound and probative information that shows why all of us should then be concerned. You have also shown that you were not simply slandering the man, which I don't believe that you would do anyway, you definitely had informaiton to support your positions.
Having said that, I would still go along with Galatians 6, in saying that Benny should be approached in the spirit of meekness, and for the purpose of reigning him in, for he is sitll our brother. As an action step, why don't we send him a copy of the comments in this portion of the blog for starts? Perhaps he will respond to us. Paul explained in Phil. 1:15-18, his thankfulness that the name of Jesus Christ was getting out there, in spite of the motive's of those who were out there preaching.
I have always understood that there were at least two types of false prophets, i.e, one who prophesizes about a false deity and the other who prophesies in the name of the Lord, yet he is either false or his prophesies are false [Deut 13 and Deut 18].
Another well known television evangelist admitted, afterwards, to being wrong when [paraphrase] she instructed a man in a service that she was preaching at, that the Spirit wanted him to stand up and worship God. You have all heard the story I am sure, of how the man continued to protest from his seat or wheelchair from far back in the church, I cannot remember which, that he could not stand up because he did not have any legs.
I was invited to a service once, by a friend, at which I was prominently seated, not by choice will, smack dab in the center of the rostrum. The Evangelist turned to me in front of a crowd of approximately a thousand, and said 3 things that the Spirit told him about, i.e., 1) You have a spastic colon, 2) You have been witnessing to a 17 year old 3) Sorry, I forgot the third one. At any rate, he asked me to respond to each question and confirm what the spirit was telling him. Unfortunately I had to tell him before 1000 people that the answers to every quesiton/statement that he posed was negative. Interestingly enough I had just received the results of a complete physical exam a few days before which showed that I was in excellent health. In fact today the answers to his queries are still negative.
He left the rostrum, apparently angry and embarassed, and went out to do the same to people in the congregation. He approached a woman in the congregation and began to tell her things about her life, all of which she denied.
Although I did not want to attend the service anyway, in the end I concluded that perhaps the Spirit had led me there after all in order to expose this fraud to the Pastor and to his congregation. By the way, I did not know this Pastor and had neither seen nor attended this church before. And you know that pastors don't usually seat ministers in the most prominent seat in the pulpit, either he or the visiting evangelist you would think would have sat there.
I got up from my seat and began to depart. The pastor who was sitting off to the side of the rostrum and who graciously gave up his seat, pleaded that this man was, 'for real'. I politely left, I did not want to make the situation any worse than it was.
Paul had to deal with similar problems like this with the Church at Corinth as we all recall in 1 Cor. 14; so its nothing new. He encouraged that prophesies be tested in verse 29.
Its too bad that we do not have schools of the prophets today, like those that existed in antiquity!
Some people follow personalities s 1 Cor. 1:10-12, and their love and allegiance to their preferred minister or prophet will hide/excuse a multitude of their faults! I recall years ago when members of Jim Baker's PTL club, I believe it was called, were forewarned and questioned about Jim's nefarious activities at the time, some of his members said that they really did not care what Jim did.
The problem with any ministry where you have to perform on a schedule is that, the power of the Lord may not be present that day to heal or to do miracles, but you are required to perform. This problem seems to befall many in media ministries today. Having said that, The Spirit of God still works, I will show you how in my next comments for I am still sensing a broader negative undertone in some of the comments that I have read!

Gifts of the Spirit have always been a bone of contention, dating back to the new testament churches. Paul's letter to the Corinthians was the most illustrative example of the problem, and there were others.
In spite of problems and the need for growth and training in these areas, I believe that the Spirit still works like the wind, listing wherever and whenever it will. We simply don't always know the when and where. So we have to test and 'prove' spirits, to see whether or not that they are of God. And that presumes and assumes something on all of our parts.
How do we prove Spirits? Mostly by the Spirit and of course by the Word. At times, neither God's Spirit nor those that purport to have it and to be working by the Spirit, resonate with many clerics or the members of their flocks. What if God, did like he did with Abraham, and told you to offer up your son or do some strange thing that goes beyond your sensibilities, would that resonate? You would know that the Spirit was not of God, right? What did Abraham know that we don't know?
What if David the adulterer/murderer/homilist/songwriter were with us today and a member of our flocks; knowing his track-recorder, would we be able to accept him as a brother in Christ (We couldn't accept King Bill Clinton)? Would we be David's sons, if we knew his track record and he were here today, or if he created a songbook for us? If Saul the accomplice to murder and apparent murderer himself and criminal; Moses the murderer; Peter the Knife; or the other sword-packing disciples who Jesus sent out on a missionary journey, but had to be instructed to put up their 'pieces before doing', could we accept the Spirit telling us to accept them? Remember those disciples who struggled at first, when the Spirit after Paul had been converted, sent him to join them.
Could we put with a leader who had a purported harlot hanging out with him? And for that matter who really believes that the Spirit would send Elijah to shack up with a widow and her son, given all of the other houses in town where there were both a husband and wife were present? Or would the Spirit really send his spies to spend a few day at the Mustang Ranch of that time, Rahab's place? Why does the Spirit choose to do odd things at times? Why did the Spirit lead me and others to this blog? I didn't know anything about blogging and I still know that I am too verbose, compared to the rest of you!
Keith, my nemesis, and I say that affectionately, if you are out there, forgive me for I have some stories (-: I invite all of your responses.
I had experiences with 3 pastors before that I will speak, briefly, about. All 3 of these worthy ministers had something in common, a desire to build larger churches for God.
Pastor #1 He took me into his downstairs office at the church, and showed me the blueprints for a large church and facility that his church anticipated building.
Pastor #2 He invited me to speak at a rather luxurious affair that would announce the groundbreaking of their new church. I tried to get out of it.
Pastor #3 Took me aside at his house and showed me the blueprints for the church that he was going to build.
I did not ask any of these ministers to do this, and I was without prejudice in any regard. As far I was concerned I was happy for each of them for I knew how the Lord miraculously led me to my first church: I assumed that the same thing was happening with them.
Pastor #1 His congregation and he built that church and all of its accompanying facilities, and the church is from all indications doing quite well and they continue to grow. [Interestingly, I heard of late that you cannot serve in a leadership role at the church now, unless you have a degree. Hmmm?]
Pastor #2 The spirit spoke to me and said that, "nothing is going to be built on that foundation", that he and his church had drawn up. This folks had already spent a lot of money and owned the property. The blueprints were done and everyone was eager. And not just anyone belonged to this church. There were many millionaires. (Quite a few of his members were past or present players for a world famous championship sports franchise. In fact one of the top performers in entertainment, who hosted the Academy Awards, was also a member of the church.
If you visited that church on Sunday morning, you would have thought that you were at a Mercedes Benz convention, upon entering the parking lot. Money was not a problem for them.
However the Spirit said before time, nothing was ever built on the foundation that was laid for that church. The church was never built. The church practically broke up. The pastor was deeply hurt, however, he confessed that he at one time he was led by the Spirit, but he got caught in the spirit of all the wealthy well-intentioned members of his church who wanted to build this new facility.
Pastor 3, God showed me how he was going to try build the church, piece by piece and section by section. However, God showed me that he would not build that church, although he insisted that he would He suddenly passed away and the new Church was never built.
I always tell people that when God shows me something, be more concerned about the one who is doing the showing than the vessel that he uses to bring the message.
I struggle at times with things that God shows me, hoping to always get the right interpretation. I do not know when he is going to show me things, and why he elects to show me. But I can assure you that his Spirit works. Do you folks remember Huldah? Why did God use a Huldah, when he had Priests and Levites? Why did God break up the order in other words? Why does he choose the foolish things...?
Brothers and sisters, we cannot explain all things, however, I caution some of you at least not to be cynical (as some are) about things that you may not fully understand or grown into yet. And it certainly does not help when you have experiences like the one that mentioned above or in this blog, or when you see questionable things being done in any ministry. But don't shut down on God.
The same Paul who was aware of the problems with Spiritual gifts still instructed believers to, "quench not the spirit...do not deny prophesying". Some are false, some are learning and some simply mistaken
However, even Paul in 1 Thessalonians 4 vs 17, may have erred when he wrote that, "...Then we which are alive...shall be caught up". Hopefully, he had some greater meaning to what he said here [compare with vs 14], Certainly all scholars do not agree with my opinion, but I have a feeling that Paul expected to be here with the latter group and perhaps he will.
As Rev. Jackson would say, "keep hope alive', I pray that we will all Keep Love Alive! for the shortcomings of one individual does not negate the work of God and His Spirit!.
Love, Peace & Grace,
Rev. C. Solomon
P.S. Here is a freebie! If you are out there you will recognize this. You pastor a very large church. A minister that I have never seen before visited your church and gave your church a word. He said that some members of your television team were having sex in your church, behind one of the viewer screens above the rostrum and choir platform. I heard him for I had slipped in among the thousands of your members just to fellowship. Look to your media ministry. But it is not sexual activity per se that you are looking for, that was a metaphor!

Well, at least people are getting saved. When is the last time you saw a million people saved at YOUR crusade?
Ans what did Jesus say?
(Luke 9:49-50) And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbade him, because he followeth not with us. And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us.
That should about cover it in a nutshell.
Posted by Mark Wicks | Thursday, March 02, 2006 6:10:00 PM
Respectfully Mark, does Lk 9:49-50 really, "cover it in a nutshell"; do the scriptures really support your conclusion?
In Acts 8:13, Simon believed and was baptized, and continued on with Philip. The Apostles came down and laid hands on them, and they [including Simon] received the Holy Spirit {The Unrequired Second Grace, some teach}.
In verse 19, having seen that by laying on hands, the Holy Ghost was given, he offered money. Similar to some ministries today and the one being discussed here, money came into play. Money and laying on of hands seem to go together in some ministries.
Mark I am not only a minister, I am a student of the church. I have tried to learn all about what we do. I visit other churches and those of all denominations. There is a recent trend in some evangelical churches that requires that those in need of prayer offer a seed offering (the unrighteous mammom). I saw one service where each person who wanted prayer was to bring $101.00 down and place it in the minister's hand. The minister then prayed for each one of them, and after each prayer he returned one dollar to those that he prayed for; the minister kept the rest. I would say that approximately 100 people stood in that line, so right there the minister earned $10,000 dollars. EEKK!!!
Now some will defend these practices, my only question is where is the record of Jesus requring people to bring monetary offerings before he could pray for them? This is just a rhetorical question, I am not directing it at you. [As an aside, if any of you are interested and can find it still in print, David Bashan's condensed book, Deliver Us From Evil, was a good read back in the day - he discussed how ministers with gifts get off track]
Anyway back to the story. The Apostles and Deacon/Evangelist Phillip did confront him and not according to Galatians 6, which was not written yet(-:. He was not tossed out, nevertheless, he was corrected, and thank God he repented. Paul corrected Hymaneus and many others for spiritual error in his letters.
In your story, those men who were casting out devils were apparently not doing anything wrong! What do you think?
Peace & Grace
Rev. C. Solomon
P.S.
All ministers should keep in mind what the people feel about all of us, not just Benny. Most people rank all of us right along with politicians and used car salesmen, i.e., at the very bottom of all professions.
Off the subject:
I cannot resist this, for those of you who don't believe in the second grace, why did [vs 14-19], the Apostles have to come down and lay hands on this man (who according to your teaching0 received [a] gift of the Holy Spirt when they believed and they were not in need of a second grace? In verse 17 the Apostles laid hands on him them and they received [The] Holy Ghost, not a gift of the spirit. Can you agree that according to Acts 19, not all apparently receive The Holy Spirit when they purportedly believe?

Also "respectfully", Reverend Solomon. You missed the point of "covering it in a nutshell."
I did not say the verse covers everything.
The point was, what are people complaining about Benny Hinn doing to see millions saved?
At least pepople are getting saved at Hinn "crusades" regardless of what the "the man" is doing.
We should spend less time complaining about what others are doing and do somethings ourselves. Can you at least agree with that?
Also, Rev. Solomon, I am a preacher and evangelist who has been to Bible College. I have been learning the Word my entire life and have 4 generations of preachers and church leaders in the church as part of my family heritage. I did not fall off the "cabbage truck" yesterday.
So, even I, as Paul the apostle would say, "(Eph 3:8) who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;"
Let me try to make it as clear as possible. I tell you what, before we spend time "throwing stones" at other people and examining their faults and "sins",let's be fair.
First, lets openly and publically examine the fault and sins of you and me for an hour or so. Then after that, you can pick Benny Hinn apart all you want.
Ready, you first.

. . . very interesting!
My question is this: While you come from a line of four generations of preachers, etc. - did all of them hold the same understanding of scripture? Did they all allow false prophecy to be proclaimed by other ministers and desperate faithful souls to be scammed out of money?
Or did they all agree in harmony: "As long as they bring Millions to Christ" (never mind the intend)
Gloria!

We are in an age of apostasy among the mainline denominations and wildfire crazies and vanilla non-denoms are the reactions. People have itching ears and for the right price there are plenty around to scratch those ears and make people feel good about themselves expecting a miracle until they drop off into Hell.
It is time to stop with the seeker entertainment and give back to the old Book and the truth.
Posted by Dr. Ronald Shultz | Saturday, March 04, 2006 12:40:00 AM
Oh, Mr. Wicks, who says they are getting saved. You forgot another couple of passages.
2 Pet 2:1-3
1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.
3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.
(KJV)
Matt 7:22-23
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
(KJV)

I do not disagree that there are false teachers. Benny Hinn might be authentic, he may not be. However, until he is proven to be either a false prophet or a true man of God, we don't have the right to pass sentence.
Hinn will be accountable for every one of his actions and words just the way you and I will be judged for every word we speak (even against Benny Hinn) so I don't want to speak against him unless I have hard evidence and not just gossip. I don't recommend it to anyone else either.
Sometimes people who mean well and think they are righteous in he sight of God can miss it.
Like these people who thought Jesus was of the devil.
John 8:48-52 "THEN ANSWERED THE JEWS, and said unto him, Say we not well that thou art a Samaritan, and hast a devil? Jesus answered, I have not a devil; but I honor my Father, and ye do dishonor me. And I seek not mine own glory: there is one that seeketh and judgeth. Verily, verily, I say unto you, If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death. THEN SAID THE JEWS unto him, Now WE KNOW that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death.
They knew did they? Really? They were sure that Jesus was possessed of the Devil.
Could you be any MORE wrong?
Posted by Mark Wicks | Saturday, March 04, 2006 7:49:00 PM
Reverend Mark,
I am not sure where the disconnect came in, as I was not trying to offend you or to disparage Reverend Hinn. I simply saw some exceptions to the scripture that you used, where Jesus rebuked the sectarian spirit of the disciples who wanted to stop people, who did not walk with them, but had not done anything wrong.
Clearly, your point that the disciples assumed that they were wrong, because they were not with them, is valid. But the difference here is that there have been some proofs presented to show that there are some questionable practices going on in some of the media ministries similar to and including Rev. Hinn's ministry.
I certainly do not disagree with what Jesus said for there are diversities of gifts in the church, still all by the same Spirit. We are not to fight against things that we don't understand (when they are being done according to God's will). Yet Paul taught us to prove all things and to hold fast to those things which are good. I feel that I was very fair in not coming close to judging Benny Hinn or anyone else, read my remarks again.
On the other hand, there are clear examples in the Bible where ministers, preachers and teachers who got out of line, were lovingly confronted, well sometimes. Paul even withstood Peter to 'his face', right? Paul disciplined Peter for being duplicitous.
With respect to being saved Paul even tested the believers at Ephesus, in Acts Chapter 19, to make sure that they received the Holy Spirit when they believed. Having checks and balances in the church has been here since the time of the infant churches of the New Testament, if not before in all of our religous history. Paul wanted to be sure that these folks were genuine, for their souls were at stake. What could I have said to upset you? You must have misunderstood my points!
In Matthew 24:23-28, Jesus warned us that Christ will not always be in those places that he is reported to be, as you know. As believers, we are to try the Spirits! Agree? And we have to help to protect those who don't know any better. Remember, Jonestown, Guyana?
And as the Doctor pointed out [we could get into a deeper discussion about what it means to be saved], just because people get up and come down to an altar, even in a service that I am conducting, does not mean that they are saved as some believe, based on my study of the scriptures! I like what Paul did in Acts 19. Ask them? Many of them will tell you, I don't know if I'm saved or not, I simply did what I was told. EEKKK!!!!
Love, Peace & Grace!
Rev. Solomon
P.S.
Many originally followed Jesus for the miracles and the loaves, however, where were they by the time that he reached the cross?

Rev. Solomon et all:
Don't be too concerned for me. I am not offended at anything you have said. I don't disagree that if there are things going on with Benny that things should not be taken to the man and dealt with.
The media loves to twist and sensationalize and try people out of court. I don't think we should act the same way.
It reminds me a story of a certain evangelistic minster to Africa by the name of John G. Lake in the late 19t century.
A lie was gossiped back in America and most people stopped supporting his mission in Africa. In those days, it took 4 months for the news to travel by ship. By the time Rev. Lake got news, the funding had dried up. There were several dozen pastors and families living on those funds. The group of ministers agreed to stay on with Rev. Lake regardless.
Rev. Lake replied to the accusation and was exhonerated of the scandal. However, the reply took another 4 months to return and before the funding resumed, a large portion of those ministers died after selling every possesion they had in Africa. They starved while waiting for things to be straightened out in America.
This is history! It is appalling to see this is still going on in the 21st century. We need to learn from history so we don't repeat it.
Fortunately, in this day and age, it does not take 4 months to get a message half way around the world.
Unfortunately, it doesn't take very long to destroy innocent lives by gossip either.
Whatever we say or do about Benny, let's employ wisdom in the doing of it.
Yours in Christ
Mark Wicks

Yes, I recall those who questioned whether or not a man was truly resurrected at Reinhardt Bohnke's meeting in Africa a few years ago, as well. All ministers are under scrutiny, so all of us must be careful and be sure that we are being spirit-directed and accountable to someone.
Just to put this to bed, I still feel, however, that you did misunderstand my comments about being a minister and a student. I meant to be self-deprecating, by saying that not only was I a minister, but at the same time I am a student, simply trying to learn.
Based upon your response, I believe that you took that comment another way. I hope that no one else took my comments that way. Let us all keep fighting the good fight of faith!

I just read through this thread for the first time. Agree that Mr Hinn appears to push the line at times. An Observation, Benny Hinn is pentecostal, and believes the gifts of the spirit as defined in 1 Cor 12 are in operation today. If you are of a calvinistic background you would disagree with any person expounding those views. The bible in both the old and New testaments caution against treating God's teachers with anything but respect, I think it's time we respect Mr Hinn and go on to a subject that matters more. For instance I have visited many churches and where was the altar call? I also believe those who have commented on Benny Hinn's wealth are ignorant of the fact there are many wealthy preachers in this United states. You know who they are if you think about it. Some were mentioned in the Bible, but the big one is the man Job himself. Some preachers by the way are not pentecostal so that line does not hold true that only the pentecostal preachers are the phoney ones. I also disagree with the gentleman who said don't tell me you saw something happen give me proof. Well all I can say to that is if you don't believe your brother, you are going to believe a doctor whose religious credentials don't exist? BTW, I am an Ordained Minister with Assemnlies of God Ind Int. I can say with a clear conscience that as a working pastor and God uses you to be the point of contact for Him, and you see it happen, you believe it, without a doctors report.

You know what amazes me? The way the adminstration of this board and the way a lot of the frequent posters/article writers on this board encourage homosexual churches and pastors and yet deny the power of God to heal. (anyone read Timothy lately? from such turn away) Also, I'd love to see documentation on those supposed Benny Hinn predictions. I've watched Benny a few times, I've never heard him make those KIND of predictions. And most people in the prophetic community (which I don't know Benny is) most of them don't set exact dates... Although some DO, I've just never heard the kind Manfred sites.
By just for fun, I thought you'd like to know by your implications above.... we'd have to assume Jonah was a false prophet too! He proclaimed Ninevah would be destroyed in 40 days... and it wasn't. In fact, he got made at God because God didn't do what he prophecied.

Response to the comments made by Keith:
1. You made the assumption that I (the administrator of this board) encourage homosexual churches and pastors. That is NOT true! Nowhere will you find any comment(s) from me where I voiced my opinion. If you would like to know my opnion, ask me. . . and I will be glad to share it with you.
I created this blog as a "think tank" so we may understand the (ongoing) dividing theological issues better . . . and I thought it would benefit us all (to think that is) :-)
Since -Sola Scriptura- is the way for most of us, it seems paradox that we read sripture different.
Does it not appear strange to you that we discuss the same biblical verses and we come to different conclusion(s)? (for almost 2000 years we have NOT been able to reach a consensus) So, who holds the (T)truth? The majority? The one who can argue the best? The loudest one? The largest Christian church? Who?
Finally and for the last time, here are a FEW quotes as evidence that Benny Hinn is a false prophet (remember, he said these things):
++++
Benny: I had a word of prophecy from Ruth Heflin. You know who Ruth Heflin is? Ruth prophesied over me back in the '70s and everything she said has happened. She's just sent me a word through my wife and said, the Lord spoke to her audibly and said that He is going to appear physically in one of our crusades in the next few months.
Steve Brock: My God! I'm ready for that!
Benny: Yeah. She -- I'm telling you! -- she said, the Lord spoke to her audibly and said "Tell Benny I'm going to appear physically on the platform in his meeting."
(Benny Hinn with Steve Brock, This is Your Day, TBN March 29, 2000 )
+++
The Spirit tells me -- Fidel Castro will die in the 90's. Oooh my! Some will try to kill him and they will not succeed. But there will come a change in his physical health, and he will not stay in power, and Cuba will be visited of God.
Benny Hinn (Orlando Christian Center, Dec. 31st, 1989. )

You know, a prophetess sent me a word through my wife right here, and she said 'Tell your husband that Jesus is going to physically appear in his meetings.' I'm expecting to see -- I'm telling you that, I feel it's going to happen. I know deep in my soul something supernatural is going to happen in Nairobi, Kenya. I may very well come back -- we may very well come back with footage of Jesus on the platform.
Benny Hinn (TBN Praise-a-thon, April 2, 2000)

By the way, if you do not believe me, I have the soundbytes in MP3 as further evidence.
Fair enough?

It's all such a whirl of opinion and counter-opinion. I'd like to hear the MP3s and know if these things acatually came to pass. Can we prove anything in our world today? I can't wait till all the wood, hay and stubble is sorted out - mine included. At least then we will see things for what they are.

(1) Jesus was crusified by the majority not the minority, Therefore the majority is more then likely wrong. Also JESUS stated that "the world will hate you for my names sake, but remember they hated me before they hated you."
(2) Matthew 6-19 Lay not up treasures upon the earth where moth and rust doth corrupt and where thieves break through and steel, but lay up treasures in heaven, for where your treasures are there also will be your heart. Matthew 24-24
For there shall arise false christs and false prophets and shall shew great signs and wonders insomuch that if it were possible they shall deceive the very elect, Behold I have told you before. Matthew 24-12 and because eniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
(3) Judge not lest you be judged yourself, If you have judged yourself first by the law of God and have found fault you must seek forgiveness of your sins first, then you can go forth and confront thy brother or sister of thier faults.
let not the blind lead the blind, for if one shall fall in the ditch then so shall they both.
(4) I see also several knowingly or unknowingly have placed a title before thier names, or like including the number of generations of preachers they have in thier family as if it makes them more important. Have we forgotten that Jesus was chosen by GOD and not by man. No title such as pastor, or reverend or any other such names were infront of Jesus, This is why the scribes and pharisee's did not believe Jesus, because he didn't have a degree in preacherhood or attend an college or any other institution, Jesus was but a carpenter in thier eyes. Also God chooses who is to become preachers,
prophets, or servents not some institution an surely not man. Yes Jesus chose his disciples, but did not jesus say he does not do his will but his fathers will, so who chose the disciples for Jesus, but GOD himself.
(5) Beware of the leaven, for wolves hide in sheeps clothing. So why do you reason the laws of GOD amoungst yourselves. Reason brings doubt, doubt brings compromise, compromise brings death, death brings hell, hell brings satan. one cicrle of life!
(6) If you wish to grow a rose it is important to plant the seed of a rose. If you wish to grow a rose it is important to feed and water the rose as it grow. But the most important thing is to know it is a rose you wish to grow before you sow. ( Know the OMEGA so you know how to ALPHA )
In conclusion GOD also forwarned us all that brother will go against brother, sister against sister and so on. Why you may ask, so that in the end times you will have no one to trust but God himself, and to do that you must come to know his will yourself, by seeking him yourself, asking him yourself, and knocking yourself, With all your heart and your time and your strenght, for no man can save no-one but God himself. so therefore if you have the least bit evil in you either make it all evil or all good, for you cannot serve GOD and mammon, for you will hate one and love the other, or love one and hate the other.
This is what GOD told me, for it is not my will but GOds will.

If you believe a brother or sister is gone astray then confront them in private, state only the law of GOD that supports your belief. BUT be forwarned add not nor subtract not from the laws of GOD. for the law of GOD will judge a brother or sister not MAN or WOMAN. If they will not hear you then move on for it was not ment for you and GOD himself will deal with that person in GODS time and GODS way. state only the LAWS OF GOD, not ones opinion, ones reason, ones belief, for if you do not add or subtract from the LAWS OF GOD then it is the LAW OF GOD that judges man and woman not (man or woman ) judging man and woman. This is doing the will of GOD not ones own will. State the truth as it is written. speak the truth or make your peace some other way, but again be forwarned strait and narrow is the pathway that leads unto heaven and wide and broad is the pathway that leads unto destruction and because strait and narrow is the pathway, which leadeth unto life, few there be that find it

Are you saying then that you do not believe that jesus could or would not appear to people if needed?

My head is spinning!!!! I have read through ALL of these comments, accusations, concerns, etc... and all I can say is WOW!!!
So many of you making judgements and professing to be "Christians"! In my Bible it says " touch NOT my anointed and do my prophets no harm!" There is a great judgement that comes directly from God himself for anyone who judges those HE has placed in ministry. Who are you to say that God has not called Benny Hinn to the ministry?! If God has called him, then it is up to God to judge him and call him back to the "right" path.(If indeed he has strayed.) How will that happen? When WE, his brothers and sisters IN CHRIST, PRAY FOR HIM!!! I realize this is a new concept for some of us because it is so much easier to make our "opinion" known and to prize them higher than God's Word. Too many people don't want responsibility especially when it comes to spiritual things. However, the bottom line is God has told us how to handle each other within the body of Christ. When a minister in the Word of God needed correction it wasn't just anybody who has able to bring correction to them. If you are someone to whom Pastor Benny Hinn is accountable to then you are able to "SPEAK" directly into his life. If not, your solo responsibility is to pray. Never has God given us the "right" to publicly discredit another minister. If you want to elevate yourself to that position you better be right up there with the Apostle Paul in your calling and ministry of the Word, otherwise, you are on slippery slopes and better be very careful!
The Bible tells us that in the last days there will be many false prophets. This is true! Many of you have already stated this fact, (over and over again!) However, what constitutes a false prophet? Just because a prophecy hasn't come to pass in YOUR time frame does it make the giver a false prophet? If I remember correctly, God himself prophesied that Abraham would be the "father of many nations" and yet how long did it take for that prophecy to come to be? It certainly didn't happen overnight? Remember what happened when Abraham tried to force the issue? He ended up with Ishmael. Could the prophecy have been fulfilled sooner? Absolutely! Was it God that prohibited it? No! It was Abraham!!! Just because someone, whether it be Benny Hinn or anyone else, prophesies something, doesn't mean it's going to take place that second. Many times as has been proven in the Word of God, people were the problem for prophecies not being fulfilled on time.
I have read several times in this blog that Pastor Benny prophesied that Jesus himself would show up on the platform with him during one of his conventions. Who is to say He won't?! In fact, someone quoted Ruth Ward Heflin as saying the same thing. Has anyone done any checking into her credibility as a prophetess? Not from what I can see. You simply continue to attack Benny Hinn.
I'd like to give you another example of prophecy in our day that could have been perceived as a false prophecy but time proved differently.
A Pastor of a large church in New York had a vision/prophecy from God. He saw people running in the streets screaming, balls of fire chasing them. Terror and panic everywhere. The Pastor didn't have all of the details, just simply that. He then instructed his congregation to begin to collect necessities such as bottled water, ropes, flashlights, batteries, canned goods, blankets, band aids, etc... This was toward the end of 1999 and beginning of the year 2000. NOTHING HAPPENED!!!
But this Pastor knew he had heard from God. So he continued to instruct his people in this matter. Low and behold, September 11, 2001, the terrorists attacked the twin towers in New York City, not far from this Pastor's church. do you remember that day? Do you remember the broadcasts on the television? Terror and panic everywhere, people running and screaming in the streets, balls of fire chasing them. Sound VERY MUCH like the prophecy/dream this pastor had. If people were to have accused him of being a false prophet simply because nothing happened for over a year, this church would not have been in the position to help as they were! Praise God for men and women who will walk by faith and not by sight!!!
It seems to me there was another prophecy given that hasn't come to pass as of yet. You may remember this one. It seems there is a great deliverer who is to come and take us out of this world to live in eternal glory. That "word" was given how many years ago? It hasn't happened yet, does that mean it was given by a false prophet? Absolutely not! We know Jesus is coming for His church. We don't know the day or the hour but we know He's coming.
I remember the words of a very highly respected man of God that might do some of you good to follow. While some of us are called to be ministers of the gospel and are held in much greater judgement, it doesn't make us "less human". We are not without the ability to miss it. Part of our spiritual growth is proven out in our ability to walk in light of the gospel. We are to walk in love toward one another, ESPECIALLY those of the household of faith. If a minister teaches something that you don't agree with don't just throw that minister out as a heretic or false teacher. You may not be at the place of maturity to receive their teaching. Put it on the back burner for another time. Maybe during your growth the Holy Spirit will reveal to it is a right teaching. Maybe He won't! This Pastor used to say, "chew the hay and spit out the stubble". You can't possibly tell me that throughout your walk with the Lord you haven't changed your opinion of spiritual truths that at one time you didn't believe. That's why it's called growth, we grow beyond our current scope of understanding and knowledge. Sound also like a scripture, "we'll be changed from glory to glory"
If you truly want to please the Lord and have a walk worthy of the calling (as a christian) then you can't help but have compassion on those who might be walking astray. The love of God within you HAS TO CONSTRAIN you to pray!! If more of us spent the same time on our knees for the ministers of today that we do condemning and judging and criticizing, then the body of Christ would not be in the state we are today. Just imagine what could be done for the kingdom of God if we truly walked in the love of God!
It saddens me to hear that so many of you are Ministers and are speaking so harshly of another brother. You give credence to the old adage, "Christians are the ones who shoot their wounded!" How sad for you!
