Check your grilled cheese sandwich
A few days ago I was watching the news and I could not believe what I heard and saw: A jewelry designer from Florida had saved a cheese sandwich for over ten years. Although I sometimes find "old stuff" in the fridge . . ., never do I leave it in there for ten years ten years.
You guessed it . . . this sandwich was special! Just as Diana Duyser had bitten into the sandwich ten years ago, the Virgin Mary looked at her from the top of the sandwich. And that was all it took for Diana. She saved the sandwich and finally she was ready to share it in 2004 with all the world on e-Bay. (Thank you Diana . . . it made my Thanksgiving)
There she was. . . The Virgin Mary on a grilled cheese sandwich. As I checked on e-Bay, several hundred thousand people had checked this valuable cheese sandwich (Diana menioned that it had not grown any mold) and there was no question that it would sell. Diana may buy a used Mercedes, because this once delicious sandwich was bid up to : $65,000.00. (that was the last time I checked) . Then it was taken off by eBay - questioned - and then put back on. It fianally reached a new bid of around $25,000.00.
Not bad!
. . . but wait there is more: If you check on ebay, you willl find that you can buy a picture of the grilled cheese sandwich as well . . . and it is cheaper.
