This particular thought & insight on varied theology & science of the mind was an interesting read. The author focuses on three  major philosophies concerning the  ideology of a people who defined theology as to their need for happiness & salvation. He successfully describes Hinduism, Buddhism & Christianity as being the driving force behind the nature of Man & his instinct to survive &  seek understanding. The basic definitions & theology involved in these religions are accurate only in the generic sense. However, he ties the fundamentals of ancient psychology &  religion in general as being the cornerstone of what makes up not only our belief system  but our integrity towards wanting to have something to believe in & provide satisfaction.

People for centuries have basically been chasing their tale in that the "Truth" resides only in God's Holy Word.  Religion in & of itself is so diverse & manipulated that you can't really trust anyone(man) to have the Truth unless He's  sought out insight & understanding in his established relationship with Jesus Christ. The Word contains everything a person needs to know if he desires  need & satisfaction, not to mention the very thing we all need; salvation." In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul" ( Psalm 94:19 ). We have ample amounts of Love to receive if  we just humble ourselves. The Word provides what human nature desires within It's heart: Love, compassion, kindness, grace, justice, faithfulness, understanding, wisdom, forgiveness, redemption & everything else that  exclusively gives Life."

The Bible shares many examples of people who found comfort during their disquiet in the face of death & other sorrows because they found in the scriptures the solutions to these problems. The Bible is a practical book, & it addresses our greatest needs & weaknesses" (Noel Hornor- Is the Bible true? pg.14). Finally, I just want to encourage people to read this book in that it helps to understand the basic human need & has accurate descriptions of mainstream psychology & theory applications. An overall good book to have for  academic information.
