Rating:

The author ushers us into the story with the
background of two men, who unbeknownst to one another, will have their
lives cross in a very personal way.
Each man searching diligently for the desire of his heart. One man's
focus is on finding his heritage and the other on acquiring monetary
wealth in the petroleum business. The author's expertise in the
field of petroleum is evident in the detailed description he uses
regarding this field. However, I feel that it was not explained in such
a way that the layman could understand what he was referring to.
As the story continues, the mystery develops. Someone dies under
suspicious circumstances. There are several possible suspects. One of
the men in the sheriff's office, named Rico, is adamant about solving
the case. As the investigation continues, the author gives a subtle hint
regarding the identity of the killer. Finally, the sheriff's department
thinks that they know who the guilty party is, and they arrest him. But
Rico is not completely convinced of the man's guilt, and he continues to
investigate. The ending just may be a surprise.
The thing that impressed me most about this
book, was the words the author used to tell of one character witnessing
to another about Jesus Christ. I have read countless Christian fiction
books and I believe that Mr. Parker's is by far the most powerful I ever
have read concerning witnessing between the characters.
