Rating:

Simple Hospitality? How can that be in a
country where Martha Stewart reigns as the Queen of Hospitality? Jane
Jarrell shows us how.
She starts by answering the question, What
is Hospitality? In its purest form, hospitality is sharing God's love
with others. This involves comforting, encouraging, forgiving and giving
to others. The author explains that before we can take care of others, we
must start with ourselves, and uses the first chapter to give ideas
showing us how to care for ourselves.
The book is divided into three parts. Part
One - Keep It Simple covers simple ideas for the holidays, including
recipes, decorating, and gift giving. Part Two - Home Sweet Home shows
the reader ways to make their home more inviting and quick recipes that
show that you don't need to start from scratch to make sensational
desserts. Part Three - The Art of Sharing takes the art of hospitality
outside the home. The author gives ideas for gift giving, gift baskets,
and sharing the ministry of hospitality with children.
The book is an easy read and the author fills
each chapter with ideas that are easy to follow, even by those who
consider themselves to be hospitality challenged. At the end of each
chapter the author lists simple solutions to help the reader carry
through with the ideas she presented during the chapter.
I truly enjoyed this book and would
recommend it to anyone, Especially those interested in starting a
hospitality ministry.
