The Money and Faith
Study Circle Handbook is designed to be used by small groups. It succeeds
as such. Combining Scripture, contemporary and classic writings,
statistics, and writings on many areas relating to the understanding and
use of money from a spiritual perspective, this handbook is a curriculum
that stimulates thought and conversation. It is not a personal finance
guide, but serves more as a book to help persons connect their
understanding of money with the living of their faith.
This handbook/curriculum
is divided into nine session studies that explore issues such as personal
perspectives on money, a money autobiography, generosity, God’s
intentions, and justice.
I found the material
personally helpful, broadening and challenging. The readings represent a
wide perspective including the writings of those from the third world.
Both group and individual activities create serious thought about serious
matters of faith and life.
