It has been said that a man is as only as
good as the woman who is behind him, but what if that relationship ha
become dulled by time or circumstance? Can the relationship be salvaged
or is it all a throw of the dice. In today's society with the divorce
rate steadily climbing past the 50 percent rate it seems that the
latter is true. But to those who have a christian marriage do not give
up hope.
In theory Mr. Short has taken bible truths
and turned them around to suite a more Christ centered marriage. There
is concern though that in some areas of the book it seems to lack a
fluidity from chapter to chapter. Also there is reference to statistics
but no view of the source of the information therefore making it seem
as if it is of his own opinion. The book at times reads as a sermon and
is very one sided. I would also encourage Mr. Short to remove the
reference to or the alluding to the fact that he is divorced as stated
on pages 97- 100. It leaves questions like "What makes a divorced man
an authority on marriage? Is he practicing what he preaches or has he
ever?".
This book is a good book in theory.
However, it lacks fluidity and a sense of authority.
