Kate Monroe is a college student on her way to Amsterdam for a summer
archeology trip. On the plane she finds herself sitting beside a real
archeologist who begins questioning her about her studies. Than realizing
both are interested in archeology, Kate starts to ask what he was working
on but he asks her a question first wanting to know if she believed in
God. Kate is surprised by such a direct question from a stranger. But
admitted she was and was attending a Christian university and asks him
the same, wanting to know why he asks. The man seems pleased and asks of
her plans once she reaches Amsterdam. Not wanting to disclose her
itinerary since she
didn’t know the man sitting beside of her, she only
reveals that she is meeting other students traveling Europe on a special
summer program. He than asks if she would do something for him, if she
went to Roma to see the Colosseum, Kate feels uneasy about the question
and admits she can make no promises. Than calling her by name he says he
would like to send her and her friends to see an archeology dig
firsthand, handing her a pass, a rusty key, a tarnished coin and a small
computer thumb drive. Taken by surprise by the objects questions how he
knows her name. He introduces himself as Professor Gialinni the professor
who is leading the expedition. Kate is sorry she didn’t recognize the
professor. From there he begins telling her what is to happen on the trip
and with her organizational skills, trusted her to get the team to its
first location where he would meet them there.
In Amsterdam Kate meets up with the rest of the team who were to become
the “G” team along with Jahi, Ben, Kemal and Saida they all learned that
danger lurks around every corner as there were people out to stop their
quest. The problem is these people terrorists or thieves they didn’t know
what they were up against. And why couldn’t their leader Professor
Gialinni join them?
Kate had to learn to trust God more than ever before and to determine who
on the team could be trusted, Ben with his arrogant and callus ways or
Jahi with his strength and endurance and what about Kemal and Saida?
Just who was Christian and who was not? Why did the professor trust so
much information with her and not the others?
The team is on the quest of 7 tablet pieces that complete a puzzle but
what does its message hold? What is it’s language and what do the music
notes and instruments that turn up with each puzzle piece have to do with
the mystery? Habakkuk 2:1-14 and chapter 3 hold a key. But with every
danger the Lord sends a miracle to help the team on their quest. There is
danger, love, God’s mercy and grace along with murder along the way.
Hearts and lives will be changed as the team has no choice but to trust
God.
A true work of fiction, adventure, mystery and romance, this is truly an
awesome book from cover to cover. A true page turner that can’t be put
down, teens and adults alike will enjoy how the mystery unfolds to unveil
an awesome message from God and to allow ourselves to question our own
spiritual walk with God.
This is the author, Windy Witas debut book and is written as though it
was ripped from the headlines of any newspaper as it is current with
today’s events. As good as this novel is as a first, once you finish, you
won’t be able to wait to see what’s next from this author.
