Faith in Christianity can be difficult even in easy situations. Sherri
Fulmer Moorer leads the reader through the basics and teaches you
practical ways to keep the faith going and growing. There is something
here for all walks of spirituality.
Starting with how to obtain this faith, not only in God, but also, in
ourselves and other people is broke down and easy to follow but yet even
the more experienced Christian can learn a lot from this book.
Mrs. Fulmer Moorer lends her own life experiences to this compelling
book, which adds a touch of personalization to the contents and makes
you feel the author is very people friendly.
The pitfalls of faith are also discussed and examined. It is very
interesting and enlightening to realize that some of the things we feel
or the ways we react in situations are really not just human sinful
nature but at the very same time a very common and clever trick of
Satan.
This book not only teaches the reader ways to stay out of the pitfalls
of lack of faith but also how to have faith in the utmost trying times
in your life. The book teaches you that as Christians we are still to
find the joy in sadness because of our faith in the joy of our
salvation.
The author doesn't lead you on a wrong path of believing that when we
become grounded in Christ that all things will go our way, indeed it is
just the opposite. Sherri has a wonderful and delightful sense of
exactly who she is in Gods' world and she opens her own life up to help
us achieve the very same positioning. It is a comfort to know that
Christians everywhere go through the very same hardships and
tribulations as all other children of God.
Encouragement to run the good race and the promise of finding family and
cherished friends at the end keeps you going. It is also taught that it
is okay to be joyful and have faith in the good life, that becoming a
Christian doesn't mean that all fun stops. God has faith in us and if He
is for us,
who then can hinder us. Sherri is right on mark with this book and it
was a pure joy to read. Once you start it is hard to put the book down.
I found it easy to relate to and even took some of the information to my
pastor to share with the congregation on faith or lack of it.
Adults and children alike could all find informative and useful lessons
in this wonderful read. I look forward to the next book by this author.
I love the fact that religion is left behind in this book but the real
issues of spirituality are addressed and what is offered is a real and
purpose driven way to work through all of the hardships.
This book has the potential to be used in not only individual study but
small groups or churches could gain insight on the contents within.
Easy reading in laymen terms make this a sure fire help for all who
commit to read it and put it into practice.
I would recommend this book to all people who desire a better life and
stronger faith, in all areas of ones life.
