Testament Crosswords, Romans in the NIV contains the text of Romans in
the form of crossword puzzles (over 100 puzzles) to promote enthusiasm
for Bible reading, study, and memorization. Puzzle clues in bold print
are influenced by a study based on the original Greek manuscript. Each
crossword puzzle answer has a place in a fill-in-the-blank puzzle so that
the designated passage of Scripture is read and studied, possibly even
memorized. A crossword puzzle answer key is located at the back of the
book for reference. NTC Romans is the first of a series...currently in
development: GALATIANS!
Special features: There are two approaches to completing the puzzles...a
standard approach and a more challenging approach. The more challenging
approach is for those who really want to test their crossword puzzle
completion skills and flair for Bible memorization. The standard
approach eliminates frustration for those who want to read a passage of
Scripture and follow it with study.
Another nice feature is that many scripture cross- references are used as
clues. This enhances the meaning and often gives a more complete picture
of the passage being studied.
Benefits: I once read, “The greatest cause for our neglect of the Bible
is not lack of time but lack of heart.” An eagerness toward Bible
reading and study will be found for many through New Testament
Crosswords. While this is not geared toward children, I am certain that
adolescents and adults will find this type of study intriguing. Bible
college instructors might discover it as an aid to students in the
curriculum of a Romans course. The goal of NTC is a passion for
Scripture.
